Microsoft: Will it be the same?
So it was this Friday that Bill Gates intended to resign from is then held position as Microsoft’s CEO.
Though he retired from this special position he kept his seat as Microsoft’s Chairman.
The question most articles asked was, what changes will this retirement have on Microsoft as a company and a business.
I don’t see it being any different. I mean Microsoft is still Microsoft: an institution when computer software is concerned.
Bill Gates has inspired loads of engineers in the world and I don’t see his image as the face of Microsoft suddenly vanishing of the general public mind. People hardly know anyone else or any higer-ups at Microsoft.
For most people, Bill Gates wil still be the emblem of Microsoft and his actions has the Boss of Star Software Company will be remembered for most.
Anyway, from articles gathered on the Internet, Mr. Gates intends to spend his retirement days, working for the Bill and Melida Gates Foundation (which he created and heads) though not fully, as he will spend some of his time (One day a week) working as an advisor for Microsoft.
For the question: Will it change that much?
We’ll have to wait and see…
